Other technologies include impregnating rice husk ash with the iron hydroxide to remove arsenic from water and impregnating rice husk ash with aluminum hydroxide to remove fluoride ions from water. Both techniques have the potential to help over 100 million people in India who are suffering from the health effects of drinking arsenic and fluoride contaminated groundwater. Therefore, the growing use of rice husk adsorbents in a few developing countries is one of the key factors generating ample growth opportunities for companies offering drinking water adsorbents.
