The design of membrane systems meant for the separation of liquid depends on the features being incorporated. The major aspects are its performance and cost. Further, the cost of these systems is depend on the required membrane area, power consumption, membrane replacement costs, and cleaning costs as well as on product loss through the membrane. Membrane system market is likely to have positive growth as it is essential in many separation processes. Moreover, application in research, equipment design, and fabrication quality are all considered as essential factors in the ultimate success of a project.
