Syphilis diseases can be prevented by using condoms. According to a research report published in April 2022 in the Frontiers in Public Health Journal, the incidence rate of syphilis in the German population was 6.5/100,000 standardized person-years. Also, 5,256 new cases of the disease are reported each year in the country.
