The lockdown has resulted in slower economies due to closed trades and business.  The health and wellness market in Europe is observing steady growth due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. Europeans are looking for different and natural ways of staying healthy and enhance their immune system. Lockdown and quarantine measures in Europe has led to a change in consumer buying habits. Some health categories are witnessing short-term decline in growth, while few are having positive effect on the sales of vitamins, dietary supplements, and analgesics with a strong focus on immunity and prevention. So, health supplements that were trending fine before the lockdown scenario have suddenly gained more attention as more consumers are looking for products that can help them in staying healthy. Multivitamins is one of the products that is gaining excellent popularity during pandemic. So, there is increased interest in how vitamins and health supplements can help people with their health and wellness in the coronavirus era. In France, specialist organic food shops have reported sales increases of over 40 percent. Holland & Barrett, the leading health food retailer in the UK, put a cap on supplement purchases due to its rising demand. Online retailer Healthspan reported that at end of March 2020, the sales of vitamin C supplements had tripled in a week. These factors are likely to have positive impact on the market growth.

With the new features and technologies, vendors can attract new customers and expand their footprints in emerging markets. This factor is likely to drive the pharmaceutical intermediates market. The Europe pharmaceutical intermediates market is expected to grow at a good CAGR during the forecast period.
