Charter operators are expanding their service lines by adding newer routes to them. Along with this, the growing need for non-scheduled business travel compels them to add new aircraft to their existing fleets, which propels the demand for business jets and turboprops across the country. On the other hand, the demand for light sport and trainer aircraft is persistently high across the country. The rising interest of millennial toward aircraft piloting as their career is boosting the demand for aviation training & aviation pilot accessories, thus contributing to the surge in general aviation aircraft deliveries across different regions. This is owing to the absence of regular international and domestic flight services and preference for safety, health and hygiene coupled with the need to adhere to social distancing norms for domestic travel across different regions. Moreover, high demand for helicopters due to domestic travel operations for commercial and tourism purposes is also demanding more number of helicopter deliveries that has been driving the demand for pilot accessories such as headsets and other communication equipment. Thus, the elevated demand for charter operations across different regions is bolstering the aviation headsets market growth.

The North American region comprise of a notable volumes of commercial aircraft fleet encompassing several independent airlines, aircraft OEMs, aviation headset manufacturers, and airlines with in-house maintenance shops. The civil aviation industry across the region experienced dramatic changes in the first half of 2020. According to Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), US, the domestic air travel across the US experienced a 97% decrease in passenger revenue between Februarys to April 2020. The Canadian and Mexican aviation industry experience similar trends. This impacted the civil aviation manufacturers leading to decline in demand for commercial aircrafts from the region. The supply chain of several aviation headsets was also impacted as a result of significantly lower volume of aircraft movement. This impacted the aircraft headsets market heavily. In addition, the aircraft manufacturers also observed drop in demand for newer aircraft fleet; cancelation or rescheduling of aircraft orders and delivery; labor shortage; and other factors such as decline in number of aviation pilots that hampered their businesses and ability to deliver substantial volumes of new aircraft fleet. The decline in new aircraft delivery highlighted limited number of aircraft fleet across the region, which reduced the demand for newer aircraft and headsets products among the vendors of this market.

With the new features and technologies, vendors can attract new customers and expand their footprints in emerging markets. This factor is likely to drive the North America aviation headsets. The North America aviation headsets is expected to grow at a good CAGR during the forecast period.
