The organ preservation solutions market in APAC is expected to grow from US$ 43.20 million in 2021 to US$ 70.73 million by 2028; it is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 7.3% from 2021 to 2028.

Australia, China, India, Japan, and South Korea are major economies in APAC. Issues regarding cardiovascular diseases are increasing and this is the major factor driving the growth of the APAC organ preservation solutions market. CVDs are heart and blood vessel disorders, which include cerebrovascular diseases, coronary heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, and other diseases. Tobacco use, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity, which increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes, are some of the major causes of death and difficulty. CVDs are the world's leading cause of death, affecting more than any other disease.

Cardiovascular diseases are becoming more and more prevalent around the world. Cardiovascular diseases are the world's leading cause of death. According to organdonor.gov, the heart is the third-largest vital organ transplantation performed after kidney and liver. Besides, new technologies for a heart transplant will offer lucrative opportunities for the organ preservation solutions market. Technological innovation also has been playing a critical role in increasing the widespread uptake of organ transplantation. CVD is the biggest cause of death among men and women. Therefore, the increasing need for a heart transplant, owing to the increasing prevalence of cardiovascular diseases, is expected to boost the market growth during the prediction period.

COVID-19 infection has been a serious problem in the patients after organ transplantation. For instance, a study combining data from China and Italy indicated that 27% of highly infected COVID-19 patients required assisted ventilation and had a 21% death rate. Although there have been few recorded cases of COVID-19 infection in transplant patients, deaths have been observed in bone marrow and liver transplant recipients. Organ donation and transplant programmes have also suffered significant setbacks. As a response, the Asian Society of Transplantation (AST) requested member countries to share COVID-19-related statistics and report on their transplantation experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to spur additional organ donation initiatives. Only one transplant center in Bangladesh is still operational. COVID-19 is not routinely checked in donors or recipients unless they are sick. Bangladesh is under lockdown; thus, any follow-up is limited to emergencies. Transplant recipients are urged to call, or video call their transplant healthcare providers.Except for the living donor kidney transplant service, which has been discontinued since mid-February 2020, all transplant programmes in Hong Kong are still operational. Outpatient follow-ups for transplant recipients continue, but the number of visits for stable patients is reduced. COVID-19 has been detected in one kidney transplant recipient. As a result, the organ preservation solution market in the region has seen limited expansion due to the COVID-19 impact.

With the new features and technologies, vendors can attract new customers and expand their footprints in emerging markets. This factor is likely to drive the APAC organ preservation solutions market. The APAC organ preservation solutions market is expected to grow at a good CAGR during the forecast period.
